    A personal thank you.

"You want me to smile? crack a joke, I'll laugh, if not go away."

I always wanted to say that to the many people that ask me (mostly at social gatherings) if I'm "Ok". The worst is when I smile back and reply "ofcourse I am!" to try to be nice about it and they look me dead in the eye and say "You know you can tell me anything, now are you SURE you're ok?". I thought I was the only one this happened to. Apparantly if I'm not either talking to someone or smiling I must be depressed.

    I'm just shy!

Anyway the reason I brought this up was because yesterday I went to my friend's boyfriend's house party. He was leaving to Japan for a few years and since he loooooves to be around people he invited everybody he knew... The house was extremely crowded and there was too much going on. Ofcourse Corn LOVED it. She was having the time of her life.

Now the party was in Connecticut. That means it's a two hour train ride from New York *which is where Corn and I live*. I'm not even counting the subway ride you take just to get to the train. The last train, Corn tells me, leaves at 1:40. ok so obviously we have to leave the party 20 minutes before that. Bob, some guy I barely know, was kind enough to be our DD. We leave on time and get there at 1:30, and guess what? The place is closed! Either they closed early (I doubt it) or Corn messed up. Now what? Bob dropped us off and left and we have nowhere to go. Corn calls Bob back to pick us up, we're still confused as to whether or not we should ask the host of the party we just left if we could crash at his place till 4am which is when the next train arrives. Luckily we didn't get the chance to ask. There was a nice guy who Bob was also giving a ride to (let's call him Jack) that said we could crash at his place. We ended up sleeping in till 7, Corn got up early to make breakfast for them as a gesture of thanks. Jack's brother drove us to the station and that was the end of it.

Well the reason for this post was actually to thank everyone who was kind enough to drive us back and forth (Bob!) the girl who went out of her way to talk to me at the party (let's call her Ikea) the guy who barely knew us yet invited us to crash at his place (Jack), his mom whom I met the very next morning, who was so nice and gave me great advice on the field of psychology, Jack's brother for being late to work just so he can drop us off, and Misty an old friend who kept calling to make sure Corn and I weren't hurt throughout the whole thing. Thank you Thank you Thank you!
